Local communities in Nigeria have very limited supply of clean water supply. The common source will be streams, rivers and wells. These methods are mostly contaminated and very little provision is made to purify before use.
Communities can have a maximum of three bore-holes strategically located with attention to already existing resources. The aim of the charity is to strengthen these communities and build on what they have already.
The charity will empower communities by working in partnership to achieve this objective.
Nigeria is blessed with solar energy. This energy will be used to power these bore-holes independent of the national grid, to ensure it's sustainability.
Projects area managed by local contractors but paid by the charity to no cost to the community.
The charity will support families in communities who are struggling to provide the necessary resources needed to provide education or training to their female children. Emphasis is on girls as they are a protected characters in Nigerian context.
The charities aim is to provide the resources needed to support the most vulnerable members in the community with the support to promote education for their girls.
Work includes providing fees, uniforms, books and equipment needed for their training.
Support young girls who decide to go into fashion design. Equip them with a skill for the future. The charity will provide fees and monitor progress. On completion, provide equipment needed to start off there career.
Support girls who choose to pursue a career in catering. Learning how to cater to an event while working within professional remit and observing health and safety and food hygiene protocols.
Supporting already existing community health centres to delivery good standard of service by providing some training and equipment in addition to current resources. Training can range from first aid training to infection control awareness courses.
Deliver basic first aid training for adults and children to healthcare professionals and the general community. Industry certified trainers provide training that is modified to appeal to the learning need of the public with consideration to local language.
Support Healthcare centres in communities to train medical professionals and create an awareness to the general public on simple ways to control the spread of infection.
